Dear Bobcat Members:
Well, it’s that time of year again, football registration. Registration will take place on Friday April 16, from 6pm to 9pm for all returning players and, Saturday April 17, from 9am to noon for all players. Both registrations will be held at the St. Rose gymnasium located on Kankakee Street in Wilmington.
Our first practice will be on August 2nd. This year we have a few changes. We are no longer part of the Tri-County football league. We have instead become one of the founding members of the “Illinois Valley Youth Tackle Football League”. The IVYTFL consists of teams from Peotone, Monee, Manteno, Bradley, Momence Reed Custer and Wilmington. We look to expand in the coming years which may include teams in close proximity to all of our current members.
To save time at registration, forms may be downloaded on this site for your use. The insurance waiver and picture release forms can also be downloaded and filled out prior to arrival. The following information will be filled in by the staff: level of play, sizing of various equipment and uniforms, and weigh-ins required for the boys. Please bring a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate, a current picture and proof of insurance. Payment can be made to: Wilmington Jr. Football. Please bring all of the above to registration.
As you can see we have lowered the raffle fee this year to help accommodate all who have been struggling through these difficult economic times. We also would like to inform anyone who is contemplating the purchase of a new jersey for their child that, we have discussed changing jersey style next year. There is nothing definite at this time but, if your child can manage getting through this season with the jersey he/she has it could save you purchasing one this year and next.
